The Grass is Always Greener
The smell of Belgian beer and smoke-stained clothing filled the air as the thump thump thump of electro house pulsated out of the speakers. I subconsciously ran my thumb across the side of my glass where the name of the hole-in-the-wall bar was etched, in hopes that its inebriated patrons would recall their former escapades and return for another go. I could barely make out the freckles...
A little update on my life
My contract recently ended at the Champagne house where I worked for the past 2 years and I can’t really figure out how to manage my days. I spend about 2 hours a day looking for possible job openings in London and flats to rent, but I reach a breaking point and have to go outside, even if it’s simply to drive to the nearest city and sit in a cafe with an espresso and people-watch.
